Local artist Penny Creasy created this year’s poster. Penny has lived in the Grand Junction area for 10 years but has been a Colorado native for many more years. Penny lived and worked on National Wildlife Refuges. This enabled her to see and experience wildlife in a unique way. She was one of 6 women wildlife artists to have work represented in the Top Forty paintings in the Wyoming Conservation Stamp Competition. Working in pastels for this creation of the “Water Sprite on Lily Pad” the colors relate a feeling of solitude and relaxation. Ms. Creasy resides in Grand Junction with her husband Jim, a wildlife enthusiast.
